I’m a fully qualified and attuned Reiki & Seichem Therapist. I trained with Jen Coldwell in Sheffield in 2024 and I am an associate member of the Reiki Federation. I’m passionate about sharing Reiki energy with others and I’m mindful of the Reiki principles, and how we can harness these to bring about positive change in our lives.
The word Reiki comprises the two Japanese characters, “Rei” meaning universal spirit, and “Ki” meaning vital life force or energy. Reiki was rediscovered in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui in the 1920s and has since been adopted by many cultures.

Seichem works in a similar way to Reiki, however in addition to hands being placed on the body, they may also work with the aura. Seichem is believed to be one of the healing arts of ancient Egypt and was rediscovered by Patrick Zeigler in the early 1980s.
Reiki & Seichem treatment involves the practitioner lightly placing their hands on various locations on the body, or just above the body in the auric field. During treatment the client remains fully clothed and lies under a blanket.
Prior to receiving a body treatment the Chakras may be balanced. The 7 major Chakras are:
- Root
- Sacral
- Solar plexus
- Heart
- Throat
- Third eye
- Crown
Reiki treatment aims to promote relaxation, balance and healing, through moving energetic blockages. It is a wonderfully natural way to relieve stress and anxiety.
Research on Reiki is growing and is very positive, as such Reiki is now being used in hospitals, hospices and workplaces to promote feelings of wellbeing. For more information on Reiki research visit: Reiki Federation Research
